I spent the Chuseok holiday taking it easy and spending time with my family. Since I’ll be admitted to the hospital for surgery soon, I’ve been careful not to overdo it. I only handled the most urgent development work. I’ve been making excuses, not really getting much work done, and letting myself slack off a bit. I know I shouldn’t, but lately I’ve been feeling more and more like doing that.
For the first time in a while, I got an email about a bug and took care of it. I also got an email from someone saying they liked the app. Fortunately, it wasn’t a major issue, and everything was wrapped up smoothly. I think getting bug reports still stresses me out a lot. I should work on managing my mental state better.
I met up with some friends and spent time with them, and it reminded me just how much AI is being used at work. It’s fascinating to hear how people in fields outside of IT use AI. It was also interesting that AI had become a new topic of conversation. Seeing how friends I’ve known since childhood are adapting to a changing world makes me realize how much time has passed. Still, seeing them find joy in the little things puts me at ease. It was nice to see each of them adapting to the times in their own way and enjoying what they like. Thanks to them, I’ve also started doing a fun activity with my friends!
It looks like my long-troublesome left arm injury will finally be behind me soon. I’m so sad that I won’t be able to do the sport I love anymore. At first, I loved it so much that I thought I’d go back to it after recovering, but as time went on, that feeling gradually faded. My body has become one that can’t handle pushing itself too hard. There are new limitations, too.
All that’s left is the surgery. I hope the rehab and recovery go well and that I can live without any more problems. I hope the surgery goes well and that I get through it okay.
My week…
